They say that good things come in threes like when you're lucky for example.

Here at Big Lake Coffee we believe that you have just become lucky to know that we have produced a trio of hand-crafted, specialty coffee blends. We hope that you enjoy the variety of these three blends with unique roast profiles. It is a way that we want to share with your how coffee has unique differences even with a blend.

The last of this trio is our forest coffee (Skogskaffe) a deeper rich blend from the Andes of Peru and Excelso, Colombia.

Being in the woods is like rewinding to our childhood. A mix of coniferous and deciduous trees across a rolling landscape. A canopy that opens up to the skies and sometimes where time stops on the forest floor.

To disappear in the forest is always an adventure and an escape at the same time that we connect back to our roots and reflect on the beauty of nature at our feet.

Second up is our mountain coffee (Fjällkaffe) a deeper and full bodied origin blend from northern Peru and Sidamo in the Gugi zone of Ethiopia.

The mountains have stood the hands of time. They are weathered and carved by the ages and yet they just stand there solid and pristine. To stand at their feet is breathtaking and to sit and enjoy the view from afar is calming.

And then the attempt to summit them is the journey. And all of these moments we like to feel that to enjoy coffee in the elements is a way to maximize that experience.

We hope you enjoy this either out in the mountains or at home while you dream of your next trip.

First off is the lake coffee (Sjökaffe) an origin blend from Sul de Minas, Brazil and Ocotal, Nicaragua.

We grew up swimming, fishing, boating, snorkeling and also enjoying watersports such as waterskiing, kneeboarding and wakeboarding. And even during the winter months were spent cross-country skiing the shorelines and fishing through the ice during the winter months in the northern reaches of the Midwest.

Our connection to life on the water and this origin blend is meant to be enjoyed as you seem.

We sometimes can reflect back into our past and see that there is a thread that leads to what we have experienced and links to what we accomplish. It does not matter whether it has to do with social responsibility, or if it is focused on economic impact.

We can also see that what we do, how we chose to live and how we see the world's resources can give us an empowerment to make environmental changes in our nearest surroundings and for the future generations.

This has lead me to see that with small steps that we can create larger impacts for future generations and for some of the most important production chains of how we can live more viable lives.

Coffeepreneurship is a term that helped us form concepts that we feel will help connect us through different lifestyles of coffee culture. Coffee is an world-wide commodity produced and consumed in almost all countries around the globe. Yet the question is if it connects us all, what is our understanding of it?

You can follow not only this blog but the daily routines of how we prepare our coffee, how much we consume this drink and even see how the thread of coffee culture weaves into your life.
